Layla(30)

"Layla!" a voice yelled as I left the queens chamber. I had been called to a meeting to explain the Geodeon and his rouge demons, and of Lucas soon as I entered the Society. As I spoke to the queen her face had remained emotionless. Clement, Malcolm, Abrianna, Evelynn, Briathos and the archngels as well were present. I noticed Evelynn stayed far away from Clement as possible. I noticed as well that his eyes were red. Something was definetly not right. I spoke about what had happened to Lucas while we were captured. I could sence everyone's nerves rise. When I mentioned Eliza, I saw everyone's eye's widen in shock, including Clement, whose eyes seemed to be the most shocked. I had always known Eliza was bad, but not enough to become a rouge... When the queen had no more qustions she dismissed us all so she could talk to Michael and the other archangels as well as Briathos. I decided to speak to Clement later.

I turned around and saw Bresal running towards me. He grabbed my arm and lead me to my own room. I tried to pull away at first, but I knew there was no point. Once in my own room he released his grip. "Bresal what are you doin-" I began, but Bresal placed his lips againt mine. I hadn't realized how much I had missed him until now. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pushed me up against the wall. He leaned away for a moment to say "You are incredibly stuborn you know that right?"

"Yeah I do." I grinned kissing him again

He wrapped his hands in my tangled hair. I could feel both our hearts racing wildly as we kissed each ohter. All our anger and frustration with each other seemed to disapear. I wished that the moment would never end. My concerns with Clement, Eliza, Geodoen, Lucas, and all the others seemed to go away.~

I woke up lying in Bresal's arms on my bed. I sat up and yawned looking towards the small window. The sun had gone down now and I could hear people going to eat their dinner. I must have been asleep for four hours at least. I looked over at Bresal, he looked very peaceful while he was asleep, it had been the first time either of us had a decent sleep. Recently everything has been so hectic, with Lucas as Lucifer pureblood, from the rouge demons.

I heard Bresal sit up beside me. He smiled "Good morning."

"Evening" I corrected kissing him softly

A loud knock came from the outside of my room. I rolled my eyes, "What do they want?"

"Pretend you're not here." Bresal replied rubbing my shoulder

I sighed, I knew it was probably important. I stood up grabbing a shirt and a pair of shorts from my dresser.

Another loud knock came from the door. "I'm coming I'm coming!" I yelled opening the door. "Clement?" I said with surpise at seeing my brother

He looked at my clothes and messy hair with irratation. His eyes were still red. "I need to talk to you."

"About what?" I asked

Clement began to reply, but stopped when he saw Bresal come behind me. The two glared at each other. "I'll be going." Bresal said kissing my forehead and pushing past Clement.

"What's wrong between you two?" I asked

"He's a asshole." He replied

I shot a glare at him "Watch your tounge Clement."

"If only you knew what he did to me and you."

I knew instantly who he was talking about "Eliza." I said with anger

"You knew?" He asked with shock

"Yes I knew! I knew everything!" I yelled "What happened was a long time ago Clement! He's changed now."

He rolled his eyes "I'm sure he has."

I clenched my fist "Why does it matter anymore? Eliza is a traitor and liar. Who was only here to cause trouble!"

Clement's eyes began to turn more red. "Shut up Layla." he threatened

"What's wrong with you Clement? This isn't the normal you."

"What's wrong? What's wrong! Tell me Layla, tell me one thing that isn't wrong!" He yelled waving his fist at me

I looked away "I couldn't tell you Clement. It's not for me to say."

We both turned our heads when we heard someone walking towards us. I saw Clement hold his breath. It was Evelynn. A look of panic showed on her face, as she and Clement stood and stared at each other. She broke their stare and turned away walking away quickly.

"What did you do to her?" I asked

"Nothing."

"Obviously you're lying, I've known Evelynn long enough and she's not the type to run away. Especially you..."

"Drop it." He mumbled

"Clement please. I'm your sister, and I know you well. I know you care for her. She's the first one to break through your walls."

Clement then flew at me pushing me against the wall. "I said drop it."

I stared into his red eyes "Clement I do not want to fight with you. Now let me go."

His eye's changed slightly as he stepped back away from me. Without saying a word he turned away and left the room. I stood in shock, there was for sure something wrong with Clement.~

Later that evening I stood in the queen's chamber with the others. She had me, the purebloods, Zoe, and Clement to see what actions we needed to take with finding Lucas.

Antoinette looked at us all one by one then said "The archangels and I have decided that we send all of you to find Lucas. The longer he is missing the stronger Lucifer becomes." she stopped as the lights flickered "So I am sending all of you to retrive him."

"I won't go." Clement said

The Queen looked at him "You must go Clement. All of you will be needed to find Lucas."

I looked over at Evelynn who was whispering in Malcolm's ears while watching Clement carefully.

"She is right." Michael said emerging from the shadows "You all are needed to find him."~
