Layla:
My body shook with anger as I walked into the Society. I had been out on patrol when I found the little brat with the terrible hair laying on the ground. I should have killed him for punching me. When I was fighting him though, something odd happened. His eyes changed color, they changed to a dark purple with red in them. It lasted only a moment but it made me very weary of the boy. I looked at my arm and cursed, the brat was smart. He had a pure silver knife, this cut was going to sting awhile. I decided to go to the hall, where I could smell the cooks preparing food. I wanted to tell Clement of what happened with Luke's eyes. Recently he has been on our radar. I don't trust him.
When I entered the hall, I could see all the members sitting with each other laughing and chatting with one another. I scanned the room for Clement without luck. I did however find Bresal sitting alone at the far end of the room. Since our fight we had been avoiding each other. We met eyes for a moment, his eyes dark with exhaustion. None of the demons have had much sleep. He looked at me then to my arm which had finally stopped bleeding. His attention from me was then broken when Eliza emerged from the shadows behind him. I decided I'd wait until later to eat, I wasn't hungry anymore. Bresal gave me a panicked look as I turned away. I saw him mumble something to her then stood up. By the time I was out of the room he was beside me. "Layla, we need to talk." he said as I walked to my room
My demon emotions wanted to yell and scream, but the "new" Layla feelings wanted to apologize for what I said. I ignored him though and continued to my room.
"Layla, please. Just let me explain." he begged
I lead him down a dark, abandoned hall "What's there to explain?" I said with a hint of sarcasm
"Layla, what happened between me and Eliza was a long time ago." he pleaded his dark red eyes staring at me
"I know, you've told me that." I replied coldly
"At first I wanted to be with you because of your father yes, but the more time I spent with, the more I realized we belonged together. Eliza and I only had flings but with you I felt differently. I wanted you as more than a mate, all I want is to be with you. I know my actions over the few years proved otherwise but you learned everything I did was to help you."
I turned my face away towards the end of the hall not wanting to hear anymore. He placed his strong hand on my face gently and turned my face back to his. I tried to pull away but Bresal held on tightly to me, he leaned his head down and kissed me. "No," I mumbled yet not truly meaning it.
"I hope I'm not interrupting something." an angry voice came from down the hall
"What are you talking about Malcolm?" I asked angrily
"I think you know perfectly well." he said
"No, I don't actually. Please do me the pleasure in telling me." I said sarcastically
"The three people murdered by demons? In the hotel?" From behind I saw a small dark haired girl, who I thought at first was Evelynn, but with a better look I could tell it was Raphael's pureblood.
"What are you talking about?" I asked stepping closer to Malcolm
"Those people were killed by demons, they had the letter 'L' carved into their arms! How can you explain this?"
"You don't really think my own demons would slaughter innocent people in the name of Lucifer do you?" I questioned
"What other demons are there? Last time I checked yours were the only ones near here." he replied balling up his hands
"Don't make me laugh Malcolm. I would know if my own would have done that."
"Maybe you do know." He replied angrily
I felt Bresal's hand on my shoulder "I think your making very big assumptions" Bresal said
The girl behind Malcolm whispered something in her ear. Even if it was private I listened anyways.
"I don't think they did it Malcolm." she said
"But how would you know?" he asked calmly
She shrugged "I just have a feeling. Now can we go? Since you are my babysitter practically we need to get to sword practice."
I smirked. The girl was going to be a hand full. I thought Evelynn was bad, who knows who she will be. Malcolm nodded and looked away from the girl "As for you Layla, I'd keep an eye out on your demons."
I hissed at him and watched him walk away. "What are you planning on doing?" Bresal asked
"I'm going to find the demons who killed those people." I replied walking down the hall
"We're" he corrected "We're going to find them."
I shook my head "No. I'm going alone."
Bresal gave me a bewildered look "Are you crazy? You don't know if those demons are dangerous or not."
"You need to stay and keep everything in line so others won't get worried. I won't do anything stupid..." I replied
"Layla, no, you can't go alone! Put Clement in charge until we return."
I shook my head "No Bresal. It would be more suspicious if we both left. Now my word is final."
He began to reply but knew there was no arguing with me. He bowed his head and turned the other direction, leaving me completely alone. I almost called for him to come back, but I fought back the urge.Eliza's words rang through my head Always pushing away the ones you need most. I shook my head, I had a very bad feeling about what I was going to do. I could turn back now, go to Bresal and beg forgiveness for how I've acted. No, I am Layla, Queen of the Demons and I need to begin taking charge over these renegade demons, before this goes on any longer.~

Eve:
I sat sat in the great hall and ate a piece of toast. I couldn't help but think of Clement and how he kept avoiding me. I kept replaying him kissing me. It broke my heart when he told me to just forget about it. I couldn't though, all the hate for him that I used to have is gone now. I felt a pain of guilt when I thought of Malcolm. He had been so busy with training for the new Pureblood I haven't even talked to him.
"Can I sit with you?" a soft voice asked
I looked up and saw Gemma standing with a bowl of cereal. She looked like she wasn't feeling well at all. I nodded and smiled at her. "Are you feeling okay?" I asked with concern
She took a bite of her cereal and looked at me "Yeah, I'm fine." I knew she was lying. Her hand was shaking as she brought it to her mouth.
We sat in silence for awhile until we both looked up to see a short brown haired girl with blue eyes "Can I sit with you guys?" she asked
We both nodded "I'm Eve," I said extending my head
"Abrianna." she replied grasping my hand.

She's Rapael's pureblood. I could tell when our hands met. She gave me a shocked look as if she could tell I was Michael's pureblood. We released hands and looked away. Gemma and she talked as they ate. I sat in silence pretending to listen but I was scanning the room. In the corner of the room I saw Lucas watching us. Since I've been here I've had a strong dislike for him. He was bad news, his hair was a mess (as usual) and he had large dark circles under his eyes, he looks like he hadn't slept in days. He had a large bruise across his face as well. I felt somewhat sorry for him. Yet the way he treated me not want anything to do with him. Our eyes met for a moment, I quickly turned my head away.
"What are you looking at Eve?" Gemma asked
I looked at her "Oh, nothing." I replied returning to my toast
Gemma turned her head back to where I was looking. "Where you looking at Lucas?"
Abrianna looked back as well "Is he the one with the messy hair who looks like he wants to punch someone?"
Gemma nodded slightly embarrassed "Yep, that's my brother."
Before the subject could continue any farther and potentially brining me into it. "I'll see you guys later." The two looked at me and began to protest but I had gotten up fast enough to pretend I couldn't hear them.
Once out of the hall I decided to go see Clement. I had to know why he kissed me. It was going to drive me crazy trying to figure it out. I passed many people down the halls, the whispering had finally stopped. Except for an occasional comment I was pretty much left alone. I didn't talk to anyone here except for Gemma and Zoe, and that was only during practice. I tried to keep away from the others. I was somewhat relieved that the new pureblood was a girl. At least I'd have someone to relate to.
When I was finally at Clement's room I knocked on the door. I didn't hear anyone, I tried the doorknob, the door was unlocked. So I opened the door, I nearly jumped right of the room. Clement was standing with only a towel on, and the demon girl Eliza had her arms wrapped around his bare shoulders. She was wearing a very skimpy black skirt and a low cut white tank top. I stood for a moment in pure shock. Clement's eyes looked over at me. I then shielded my eyes and ran out of the room. I didn't know how to feel. Shocked? Sad? Mad? Embarrassed "Eve!" I heard Clement yell from his room.
I ignored his call and continued down the hall. I looked back to see Clement following after me, he now at least had pants on. His shirt was still missing though. "Eve wait a second."
I couldn't get the thought of Eliza all over Clement over my head. I felt Clement's hand on my shoulder. I stopped and turned towards him. "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have came into your room like that! I uh didn't mean to interrupt." I said quickly "Now I need to go find Michael. For um,,, practice..."
"Eve it's Sunday there isn't practice." He replied knowing I was lying "An Archangel isn't going to practice today."
Dang I thought to myself I didn't think about that. "Oh, well no matter. I have to go." I said walking away.
"Eve what you saw was nothing," he began
I could feel my cheeks turn red "Don't worry about it. It's fine." I said looking towards my feet and walking away.
I could feel his blue eyes watching me as I made my way around the Society members as they left the hall. I was hoping he would come after me again, but I knew he wouldn't.~
